Asbestos siding is used extensively in buildings and homes from the 1930s to the 1970s when its use is prohibited. Initially, asbestos siding is used for fire resistance of asbestos. The most common solution and most inexpensive way to leave the original asbestos shingles in place and simply remove the aluminum, so you can avoid the danger of dust created by the tearing of herpes zoster. Instead, cover the tiles with polystyrene foam insulation panels, and then hang new vinyl siding with a 2-inch long nails.
With all types of repair, the asbestos remains in place. Repair is usually cheaper than removal, but it may make later removal of asbestos, if necessary, more difficult and expensive. Repairs may be large or small.
